Job summary

Arcarithm is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join the Engineering Solutions team at Arnold AFB, TN. You will perform structural analyses, develop and evaluate designs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering with 3+ years’ experience in structural design and/or stress analysis, or MS with at least 1 year of such work.
• Must hold and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and have access to AEDC local area network.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of structures to ensure integrity, safety, and performance under stress, fatigue, load distribution, and deformation.
• Model and simulate structural behavior using FEA tools to predict responses and optimize designs.
• Recommend materials based on properties, durability, and cost.
• Collaborate with design teams to refine structural designs for safety and performance.
• Analyze external dynamic and thermal loads and their effects on structures.
• Investigate structural failures or anomalies and propose repairs or improvements.
• Use CAD tools to create detailed drawings and models of components and connections.
• Maintain records of analyses, design changes, and project progress; communicate findings in reports.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to align structural requirements with project goals.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in structural engineering and materials.
