MT/Sr. Eng role focuses on aerospace structural dynamics for launch and spacecraft, with opportunities to lead testing, modeling, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The position is based in El Segundo, CA with alternate locations including Chantilly, Huntsville, Houston, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering or similar field.
• 5 years experience in structural dynamics or similar field.
• Experience with finite-element model development techniques and software.
• Knowledge of classical vibration and transient response analysis theory.
• Sound knowledge of Linear Algebra and its application in structural dynamic computations.
• Willingness to travel ~5% and to support customer needs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• 8 years total experience for Engineering Specialist role.
• Experience in mode survey or dynamic testing.
• Leading teams or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural dynamic analyses and evaluations of launch vehicle and spacecraft loads for all phases of flight.
• Develop simulation tools and processes to solve structural dynamics problems.
• Evaluate analytical predictions versus flight sensor data to improve analysis methods.
• Plan and oversee mode survey testing and correlate FE models to test data.
• Conduct analyses to solve broad structural dynamics problems.
• Provide technical support to program offices and external customers.
