Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join the Engineering Solutions team at Arnold AFB, TN. You will perform structural analyses, explore FEA with ANSYS, select materials, and collaborate with design teams to refine safety-critical components for AEDC.

Ideal candidates have a mechanics background with 3+ years of design or stress-analysis experience, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth structural analyses of components and assemblies to ensure integrity, safety, and performance.
• Model and simulate structural behavior under various loads using FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
• Recommend materials based on mechanical properties, durability, and cost.
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate and refine structural designs for safety and performance.
• Determine external loads and analyze their effects on structures; compute stresses and strains.
• Investigate failures or anomalies and identify root causes with potential repairs/recommendations.
• Create detailed CAD drawings and models of structural components and connections.
• Document analyses, design changes, and project progress; present findings clearly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Stay current with advancements in structural engineering and computational methods.
