The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Structural Dynamics Engineer to provide expert analysis for launch vehicles and spacecraft. You will develop tools, correlate models with test data, and support program offices with advanced structural dynamics insights.

Qualified candidates will have a mechanical/structural/ aerospace engineering background, 5+ years in structural dynamics, and experience with finite-element methods. Travel and TS/SCI eligibility are required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical/Structural/Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• 5 years in structural dynamics or related field.
• Experience with finite-element model development techniques and software.
• Knowledge of classical vibration and transient response analysis theory.
• Willingness to travel ~5% and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural dynamic analyses of launch vehicles and spacecraft loads across flight phases.
• Develop simulation tools and processes for structural dynamics problems.
• Compare analytical predictions with flight data to improve methods.
• Plan and oversee mode survey testing and model correlation.
• Provide technical support to program offices and external customers.
• Lead or supervise teams in related dynamic analysis projects.
