Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Structural Designer in Tampa to develop concrete plan and section drawings and create steel structure drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. You will also layout pipe racks and supports, schedule columns and beams, and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve model clashes.

The role requires a degree in structural design or related field and typically at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of structural design experience.
• Degree in structural design or related field required.
• Proficient in Revit/AutoCAD.
• Experience with concrete plans and steel drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop concrete plan and section drawing development.
• Support structural engineers with drawing development and layout.
• Complete red line mark-ups and address design comments.
• Work on steel structure drawing development.
• Pipe rack framing / support layout.
• Generate stair detailing plans and sections using Revit/AutoCAD.
• Understand level of detail at project design gates/milestones.
• Manage column and beam scheduling.
• Engage in cross discipline model coordination/clash resolution.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute additional assignments.
