Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Structural Designer to produce concrete plan and section drawings and to develop steel structure drawings using Revit/AutoCAD. The role includes pipe rack layouts, stair detailing, and scheduling columns and beams, with coordination across disciplines to resolve clashes.

The position requires at least 2 years in structural design or related field and a degree in structural design or related area, with the ability to work under moderate supervision while exercising

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD for concrete plan/section drawings.
• Experience with steel structure drawings, pipe rack layout, and stairs detailing.
• Understanding of cross-discipline model coordination and clash resolution.

Responsibilities

• Develop concrete plan and section drawing development.
• Support structural engineers with drawing development and layout.
• Complete red line mark-ups and address design comments.
• Work on steel structure drawing development.
• Perform tasks involving pipe rack framing /support layout.
• Generate stair detailing plans and sections utilizing Revit/AutoCAD.
• Understand level of detail at project design gates/milestones.
• Manage column and beam scheduling.
• Engage in cross discipline model coordination/clash resolution.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
