Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Structural Designer to produce concrete plan and section drawings and to develop detailed steel structure drawings and pipe rack layouts. The role involves staircase detailing, column/beam scheduling, and coordination with other disciplines to resolve clashes.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required, with 2+ years in structural design. A degree in structural design or related field is expected, and the role may involve mentorship within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using Revit/AutoCAD.
• Practical knowledge in concrete plan and section drawing development.
• Skilled in stair detailing plans and sections.
• Understanding of cross discipline model coordination/clash resolution.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years in structural design or related experience.
• A degree in structural design or related field or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop concrete plan and section drawing development.
• Support structural engineers with drawing development and layout.
• Complete red line mark-ups and address design comments.
• Work on steel structure drawing development.
• Perform tasks involving pipe rack framing /support layout.
• Generate stair detailing plans and sections utilizing Revit/AutoCAD.
• Understand level of detail at project design gates/milestones.
• Manage column and beam scheduling.
• Engage in cross discipline model coordination/clash resolution.
• Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
