Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to translate complex engineering principles into buildable, code-compliant wood component designs and analyses.

You will perform structural design and analysis of engineered wood components, review drawings for accuracy, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver safe, efficient, production-oriented solutions across North America. Travel to office locations is required.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in any U.S. state or EIT with eligibility and intent to obtain PE within a defined timeframe.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with coursework in statics, structural analysis, and strength of materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis of engineered wood components, including loads, member forces, and connection requirements.
• Review and refine work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and code compliance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve design challenges and contribute to approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers on structural behavior and design assumptions.
