Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, seeks a Structural Engineer to lead final design reviews and seal truss designs for code-compliant wood systems across jurisdictions. You will evaluate load paths, connections, and overall stability, and review work from engineers, designers, and technicians for technical accuracy.

You will mentor staff, raise engineering standards, and collaborate to improve tools in a high-volume production environment, contributing to safe, efficient, and innovative building solutions.

Qualifications

• Active SE license or PE pursuing SE within defined timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, load path behavior, and connection design.
• Working knowledge of IBC/IRC codes and industry standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Perform final engineering review and seal truss designs to ensure code compliance.
• Evaluate structural systems for load paths, connection integrity, and overall stability.
• Review and approve work from engineers, designers, and technicians for technical accuracy.
• Mentor staff and improve engineering standards and tools through cross-team collaboration.
• Support stakeholders by resolving design questions and project-specific requirements.
