Job summary

Alpine, an ITW Company, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead structural design of wood trusses and framing systems. You will partner with customers to solve technical challenges, review designs for accuracy, and provide leadership to the engineering team.

The role combines hands-on engineering with customer interaction and collaboration with Alpine's software team to enhance design tools and processes. Office-based with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• PE license or ability to obtain licensure with company support.
• 3 years with a PE license or 10 years without PE.
• Experience with truss design and drafting techniques.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and design standards.
• Ability to read and interpret roof and framing layouts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex structural solutions for wood trusses, framing systems, repairs, and components.
• Partner with customers to solve technical challenges and provide cost-effective designs.
• Review and validate engineering designs for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to the engineering team.
• Support field and product-related engineering needs, including site inspections.
• Collaborate with the software development team to improve design software.
