Job summary

Alpine, an ITW Company, is seeking aSenior Engineer with strong civil/structural design experience to develop wood truss solutions and support customers using Alpine's proprietary design software.

You will analyze trusses, framing systems, and components, review designs for codes and standards, and provide technical leadership to engineers and designers while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams. This role includes occasional site inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with coursework in statics and structural design.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain with company support.
• Experience with truss design and drafting techniques, including plating methods and light-gauge steel connections.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex structural solutions by designing and analyzing wood trusses and framing systems using engineering principles and Alpine's design software.
• Partner with customers to solve technical challenges including evaluating layouts and loads.
• Review and validate engineering designs for accuracy and compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and designers and support training.
• Support field and product-related engineering needs, including occasional site inspections.
