Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. seeks a Structural Building Engineer – Project Manager to lead building structure projects, act as Engineer of Record, and guide a team of designers across multiple offices. The role supports CDI’s Building Stronger Communities mission with a focus on quality, client service, and on-time delivery.

Based in Collinsville, IL, Effingham, IL, Jefferson City MO, or St. Louis MO, the position requires up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered PE and IL Structural Engineer licensure.
• 8+ years building design experience.
• Ability to sign/seal engineering documents as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects: scope, budgets, design coordination.
• Serve as Engineer of Record, sign/seal calculations and docs.
• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures.
• Act as primary client contact with contractors and officials.
• Collaborate with CDI team to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with CDI safety procedures.
