Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a Structural Building Engineer – Project Manager to lead building structure projects and guide the next generation of engineers within CDI’s Structures/Building Group. You will sign/seal drawings, perform analyses, and coordinate with clients and staff to deliver high-quality projects on time.

Based in multiple CDI locations including Louisville, KY, St. Louis, MO, Collinsville, IL, Effingham, IL, or Jefferson City, MO, you will foster collaboration, safety,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred and a PE licensure is required.
• Licensed PE (Professional Engineer) in Illinois and IL Structural Engineer licensure.
• Minimum of 8+ years of building design experience with structural projects.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects: scope, budgets, and design coordination.
• Serve as Engineer of Record, sign/seal calculations and documents.
• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures.
• Act as main client/contractor contact and coordinate with the CDI team.
• Lead diverse project types and support proposals.
• Collaborate with CDI leaders and engineers to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensure CDI safety procedures are followed.
