Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a structural engineer to lead the design, development, certification, and testing of pressurized and unpressurized structures for the New Glenn rocket. You will perform hand calculations and FE analyses, document stress results for drawings, support hardware qualification, mentor junior engineers, and help automate analysis workflows.

Requirements: BS in engineering with 2+ years in aerospace structures; proficiency with Nastran, Ansys or Abaqus;

Qualifications

• BS in engineering; 2+ years in aerospace structures.
• Proficiency with Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus.
• FEA and fatigue/fracture analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand calculations and FE analyses of aerospace structures.
• Documentation of stress analyses to support release of drawings.
• Support for test campaigns and hardware qualification.
• Mentor designers and junior analysts; help automate analysis workflows.
