Job summary

Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX, is seeking a Stroke Program Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Stroke Program across its freestanding emergency departments and main hospital.

Under the Director of Quality, you will ensure stroke certification, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based processes. You will collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, radiology, EMS, and receiving centers to standardize stroke care across locations.

Qualifications

• 3 years as a RN with at least 1 year in managerial/charge nurse role.
• Experience in system wide/multi-disciplinary committees and/or projects.
• Three years experience working in neurosciences nursing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate, monitor, and continuously improve the Stroke Program across FEDs and the main hospital.
• Ensure FEDs meet stroke certification standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based guidelines.
• Identify gaps in compliance and coordinate corrective actions and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with FED leadership, ED physicians and nurses, radiology, laboratory, EMS, receiving stroke centers, quality staff, and other stakeholders to standardize stroke processes.
