Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Stroke Coordinator to lead the Stroke Program, oversee inpatient stroke care, and mentor staff. The role demands a BSN or higher, 3+ years of clinical experience, and active Texas RN licensure with BLS and NIHSS training.

You will coordinate education, ensure high-quality patient outcomes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the stroke service line. Texas location with full-time, day-shift duties.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with BSN or higher.
• Experience: 3 years clinical practice.
• Licenses/Certifications: Texas license or compact state, BLS, RN licensure, NIHSS; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and vision for the Stroke Program operations and patient care.
• Coordinate inpatient stroke care and report monthly to Stroke Committee.
• Develop and deliver staff education and community outreach.
• Lead quality initiatives, policies, and practice changes with stakeholders.
• Oversee unit staffing, scheduling, and inventory to ensure safe care.
• Ensure compliance with RN standards and hospital policies.
