UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Stroke Coordinator to lead the Stroke Program, oversee inpatient stroke care, and drive education and quality initiatives. The role emphasizes leadership, policy development, and collaboration with nursing staff and medical teams to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have BSN or higher, 3+ years of clinical practice, Texas RN licensure, and certifications (BLS, NIHSS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing with BSN or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical practice.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS/NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for Stroke Program operations and patient care.
• Coordinates inpatient stroke care and reports findings to Stroke Committee monthly.
• Plans staff education and mentorship for nursing and ancillary personnel.
• Oversees policies for stroke care and verifies NIHSS competence.
• Ensures compliance with ANA standards and Shared governance.
