Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Stroke Program Manager to drive the advancement of the Stroke Program across hospital locations. You will develop standards, oversee audits, report outcomes, and coordinate improvement initiatives to ensure best practice stroke care.

The role requires RN licensure in the state of employment, a Bachelor’s degree, and about three years of healthcare experience with quality management. CP HQ and Stroke Program Certification are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Three years of healthcare experience; two years of quality management experience preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of employment required.
  • CPHQ certification preferred.
  • Stroke Program Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and maintain Stroke Program standards, including internal auditing and outcome reporting in line with certification, accrediting, and benchmarking agencies.
  • Analyze and trend stroke care data to identify opportunities for process improvement and quality enhancement.
  • Coordinate process improvement activities, follow up on actions, and ensure implementation of changes to improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain policies and guidelines for best practices in stroke treatment across the continuum of care.
  • Represent the Stroke Program on hospital and community committees; liaise with administration, medical staff, and quality committees.
  • Provide education and training to medical, nursing, ancillary staff, and EMS on stroke care and best practice documentation.
  • Apply clinical knowledge and analytical skills to assist leadership in implementing changes focused on improving quality outcomes.
  • Meet OneCHRISTUS competency expectations: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders; communicate effectively to various audiences.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, clinical systems, and registry databases.
  • Apply knowledge of High‑Reliability Principles and PDSA methodology to continuous improvement efforts.
