American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Product Testing Engineer to execute development projects with a focus on Strength/Rigidity.

The role involves CAE analysis and validation through physical prototype testing of ATV/SxS vehicles, using data acquisition and testing to support product quality and innovation. You will set targets, validate specifications, and document findings while collaborating with teams to meet deadlines and contribute to new technologies in a dynamic testing lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with data acquisition is strongly desirable.
• Experience riding Powersports products (motorcycles, ATV, SxS) is strongly desirable.
• Capable data acquisition and laboratory skills/techniques.
• Capable analytical, problem solving and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Develop/Test basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles.
• Utilize data acquisition systems with precision instruments and strain gauges.
• Analyze, quantify, and summarize data to communicate loading scenarios of ATVs/SxS.
• Set performance targets and validate targets through simulations and physical testing.
• Capture real world customer usage data and reproduce in lab with hydraulic actuators.
• Manage schedules and resources, communicate project status, and coordinate with teams.
