Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Reliability Development Engineer to validate body/chassis strength and durability to meet internal targets.

You will deliver full vehicle computational and testing results and deepen your expertise in automotive development. The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, 0–6 years of experience, and proficiency with CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks) and FEA tools (Abaqus, Nastran, LS-DYNA).

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–6 years engineering experience.
• Experience with data analysis and presenting complex information to management.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience with 3D CAD: CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with FEA tools (Abaqus, Nastran, LS-DYNA).
• Scripting in Java, Python, MATLAB.
• Able to communicate effectively in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce and analyze engineering data using set tools and formats.
• Plan and coordinate exterior performance tests and testing materials.
• Support test setups and ensure plans are understood and executed.
• Prepare development/testing documentation for leadership review.
• Assist root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
