Job summary

Honda is seeking engineers to contribute to prototype development for ATV/SxS vehicles, researching new technologies and supporting production targets. Applicants will create layouts, drawings, and documentation while managing costs and deadlines.

Role requires leadership, strong communication, and CAE/FTA/FMEA knowledge. Travel may be required; confidentiality is essential throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in related engineering discipline.
• Engineering experience desired, preferably in Powersports or Automotive field.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Ability to interact/communicate effectively with staff/management; maintain confidentiality.
• Competent in FTA, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups and CAE principles.
• Competent in creating a plan and schedule / understanding product development timelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using CAD software that meet targets and requirements.
• Communicate specifications and manufacturing control points via prototype/production drawings to set final specifications.
• Maintain accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation.
• Adhere to cost targets and optimize designs to meet targets and implement cost-reduction ideas.
• Create and manage work schedules; coordinate resources with supervisor and contractors.
• Communicate project status in meetings and development events.
• Support maturation of ideas to development applications with minimal supervision.
• Support market quality themes under direction.
