Job summary

The City of Casper, WY is seeking an Equipment Operator I/II who will help maintain streets, utilities, and related infrastructure. You will drive light to medium equipment, perform repairs, and assist with snow plow operations as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be prepared for varying shifts. A Wyoming Class B CDL is preferred. This role offers opportunities for progression to Equipment Operator II and requires strong safety and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and street/utility duties including crack sealing, patching potholes, and drainage work.
• Operate light and medium equipment such as dump trucks, snowplows, trailers, hydroexcavators, and loaders.
• Perform minor repairs, check fluids, grease parts, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Operate and maintain various light equipment to support maintenance tasks.
• Identify equipment needs for each project.
• Transport refuse to dumping sites.
• Be on standby and respond after hours and on weekends for emergencies.
• Represent the City of Casper with professionalism and strong customer service.
