Job summary

The City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a Utility Worker III to lead crew efforts in digging, replacing drainage lines, and maintaining streets, sidewalks, ditches, and storm sewers. Heavy manual labor is required, with backhoe/trencher use and barricade setup.

Independent judgment and safety-conscious work are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months related experience, and a Texas Class B CDL; Class A CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas Class B CDL with good driving record; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead work on crew to dig up and replace drainage lines.
• Maintain streets, sidewalks, ditches, and storm sewers.
• Dig, shore up, and back-fill with manual labor and equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble barricades and operate city radio.
