City of College Station is seeking a Street Maintenance Supervisor to lead, monitor, and participate in street, drainage, and landscaping repair activities while supervising the street work crew.
Responsibilities include operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment, enforcing safety protocols, providing on‑the‑job training, handling citizen inquiries, recording work orders, and coordinating inventory and related duties.
Responsible for leading, monitoring and participating in City streets, drainage, landscaping repair and maintenance related activities. Supervise and monitor the day-to-day activities of the street work crew’s drainage and landscaping job responsibilities, to include but not limited to, the safe and efficient operation of heavy construction equipment used in street, drainage and landscaping maintenance.
Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D., and two (2) years additional technical training in a field related to area of assignment, and two (2) years’ experience related to area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Knowledge of the Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
Experience working with personal computers.
Valid CDL “A” license issued by the State of Texas
Willingness and ability to be available for emergency response and on‑call duties
