Job summary

City of Pasadena, TX seeks a Utility Worker IV Lead to supervise and assist crews in streets, sidewalks, drainage and related public infrastructure projects. This role ensures safe, efficient construction, maintenance, and repair work, coordinating daily activities and providing guidance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience, and a valid Texas Class B CDL. Preferred: experience with heavy equipment, storm sewer camera systems, and traffic-control

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience.
• Valid Texas Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor outdoors in all weather.
• Experience operating excavation and heavy equipment preferred.
• Additional training in traffic control, trench safety, or public works operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, and drainage.
• Perform excavation, trenching, pipe installation, and related utility work.
• Install and maintain traffic control devices and ensure work-zone safety.
• Operate and assist with storm drainage camera inspection systems.
• Direct daily crew activities and promote teamwork and safety.
