Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience operating heavy equipment beyond ordinary passenger vehicles.
• Minimum 120 documented hours operating heavy equipment or equivalent.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a good driving record.
• Working knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and construction practices.
• Ability to manage personnel, materials, and time effectively.
• CDL-required positions subject to federally mandated drug/alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor outdoors in all weather.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles safely on City projects.
• Load, transport, secure, and unload equipment using appropriate trailers and safety measures.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance.
• Assist with training and provide guidance to crew members.
• Maintain safe work zones and direct traffic as needed.
• Support construction, repair, and maintenance of streets, drainage, and utilities.
• Engage in emergency response operations when required.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and reporting requirements.
