Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a Utility Worker I to perform manual tasks related to the maintenance and construction of streets, walkways, parks, and drainage systems. The role may involve working on concrete, asphalt, or camera crews and may require irregular hours, weekends, and callouts depending on assignment and shift.

Candidates may need to dig, form concrete, tie rebar, backfill, and operate equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Class C driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Preferred: knowledge or experience in construction trades such as concrete work, piping, or general labor.
• Traffic Control I (Flagging) certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and construction of streets, walkways, parks, lawns, ditches, and drainage systems.
• Operate on concrete, asphalt, or camera crews depending on the location.
• Perform duties including digging, forming concrete, tying rebar, and backfilling as needed.
• Work shifts including irregular hours, holidays, weekends, and callouts as assigned.
