Job summary

City of Great Falls is seeking a Street Maintenance Worker to perform semi-skilled to skilled construction, maintenance and repair of the city street system. Work under the Street & Traffic Manager and Superintendent, including snow removal, roadway repairs, and traffic control setups.

The role requires CDL-A and experience with heavy equipment, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, plus overtime and shift work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in heavy equipment operation or two years of experience in street construction, maintenance and repair.
• Class A CDL with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement required or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operates trucks and heavy equipment in snow and ice removal, sanding operations and hauling materials.
• Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment for street repair and restoration.
• Sets up traffic control devices and performs standard road maintenance tasks.
