City of West St Paul is seeking a full-time Street Maintenance Worker to operate maintenance equipment and perform duties in the construction, repair, and maintenance of the city streets and related facilities.

The role involves storm sewer maintenance, street repairs including paving, plowing, sweeping, and traffic control. A CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months is required, with relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL requirement or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum one year experience operating light equipment in a construction setting.

Responsabilités

• Cleans and maintains storm sewer basins and culverts.
• Maintains and repairs streets including paving, plowing and sweeping.
• Repairs shoulders, sidewalks and curbs.
• Operates equipment to maintain city streets and right of way.
• Applies pavement markings on city streets and parking lots.
• Maintains street signs/poles.
• Maintains city trees.
• Sets up and maintains proper traffic control in work zones.
• Performs DOT pre-check inspections on heavy equipment.
• Performs building and equipment maintenance and repair work.
• Responds to emergency callouts.
• Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
