Job summary

Columbusne is seeking semiskilled workers to operate trucks, tractors, and other light to moderately heavy equipment for city street, alley, and bridge maintenance in Columbus, Nebraska.

The role involves repairing surfaces, trimming vegetation, and assisting at the Waste Transfer Station as needed. A CDL must be obtained within the first 3 months of hire, and candidates should be able to perform heavy manual labor in adverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating moderately heavy trucks and related equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete work.
• Skills in using hand tools for equipment maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in varying weather.
• Must obtain a Commercial Driver's License within the first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Repairs street and highway surfaces.
• Trims and removes trees, bushes and weeds.
