San Benito PD is seeking a Street Maintenance Worker / Heavy Equipment Operator to operate heavy construction equipment and perform street maintenance duties. The role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, with duties including repair work, pothole patching, and traffic control.

A valid CDL Class A/B is required, and a high school diploma or GED is required. The position involves physical labor, exposure to outdoor conditions, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in street maintenance or construction.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, front-end loaders, graders, bulldozers, dump trucks, skid steers, and rollers.
• Maintain and repair streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
• Set up traffic control and barricades; ensure safety and compliance during operations.
• Inspect equipment before and after use and report issues.
• Respond to emergency street blockages and perform routine maintenance tasks.
