Job summary

City of Pleasanton Streets Department seeks an Equipment Operator – Streets (Class A CDL) to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in construction, maintenance, and repair of city streets, alleys, drainage areas, and related infrastructure. Operates heavy equipment and CDL vehicles, while supporting traffic control and safety programs.

The role requires a Texas Class A CDL, experience in municipal road work, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL and acceptable driving record.
• Must maintain CDL and operate City vehicles.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate various Streets equipment and commercial vehicles.
• Transport loads to and from work sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist with roadway construction and drainage maintenance.
• Direct or assist with traffic control as needed.
