United Utility Services is seeking an Operations Manager, Street Lighting to lead construction, maintenance, and service operations across a designated area in North Carolina. You will supervise field crews, enforce a strong safety culture, and drive project execution to meet customer specifications.

The role emphasizes budgeting, scheduling, collaboration with estimating and project management, and ensuring OSHA compliance while maintaining robust stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in street lighting or utility field operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory/mgmt experience leading crews.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and financial performance.
• Strong knowledge of street lighting and electrical distribution.
• Understanding of safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with municipal street lighting programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily street lighting construction, maintenance, and repair operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture per requirements.
• Monitor KPIs to achieve operational goals.
• Oversee field crews, supervisors, and resources.
• Ensure work meets schedule, budget, and specs.
• Support bids, proposals, and contract execution with estimating teams.
• Coordinate with Fleet, Purchasing, Safety, HR for operations.
• Maintain relationships with utility customers and municipalities.
