Job summary

Directional Services Inc seeks a Senior Utility General Foreman to lead field crews on utility construction and maintenance projects in North Carolina. You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while coordinating schedules, materials, and equipment.

The role requires strong leadership, solid knowledge of utility systems, reading plans, and clear communication with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
• Three+ years in construction management or electrical experience preferred.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E where possible.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of utility construction and maintenance crews
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulations
• Plan and organize work schedules, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity
• Monitor work progress and provide technical guidance and support to team members
• Conduct safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and promote a safety-first culture
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project specs and deadlines
• Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, safety reports, and project records
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize delays and costs
