Job summary

interTrend Communications, Inc. seeks a Strategy Director to lead our Strategy team as a player-coach, owning consumer insights, the creative brief, and how we measure success. You’ll partner daily with Creative, Media, Account, and Production and report directly to agency leadership.

You’ll write briefs, mentor 3–4 strategists, and own overall client strategy on our largest accounts, including automotive. You’ll build KPIs from day one and show whether the work worked, while shaping provocative

Qualifications

• 8+ years in agency advertising strategy
• 3+ years managing a team
• Strong fundamentals in research, insight, brand positioning, and communications planning
• Comfort with metrics, statistics and measurement
• Experience on large national clients
• Creative approach with a strong point of view
• Hands-on use of AI tools in research and planning

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and grow a team of 3–4 strategists through assignments, reviews and example
• Own overall client strategy on our largest accounts, including automotive
• Find insights specific enough to belong to one audience
• Write briefs that inspire award-winning work and present to senior clients
• Build measurement in from day one: set objectives, define KPIs and show results
• Bring provocative points of view to clients and teams
• Spot and shape projects with award potential
• Protect and grow client relationships and help win new business
