Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Workforce Transformation Senior Associate to drive governance and program leadership across payroll, HR, and organizational transformation initiatives. You will partner with engagement teams to design communication plans, deliver client-ready analyses, and help shape the practice through knowledge sharing and business development.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in communications, HR, organizational development, or related field.
• 3+ years of related work experience required (consulting preferred).
• Change management, program management, financial/process improvement certifications preferred (Prosci, CCMP, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, CPP).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
• Experience in program/project management and/or organizational change management.
• Experience in culture awareness, communications planning/execution, stakeholder engagement, training planning/execution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Project).
• Experience with productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot) to accelerate work.
• Travel: typically 40-50%, up to 80% in some assignments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply Grant Thornton methodologies across workforce transformation engagements (org change, HR, payroll).
• Support scalable approaches to manage workforce change, assess impacts and readiness.
• Understand client workforce operations, governance, and business drivers; tailor delivery to client culture.
• Design and execute integrated communication strategies for stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver presentations; facilitate client meetings and workshops.
• Analyze data related to workforce operations, HR, payroll to identify risks and insights.
• Identify readiness constraints and translate into actionable roadmaps.
• Proactively manage workstreams and escalate risks; ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor and develop engagement teams; contribute to performance feedback.
• Support business development by drafting proposals and responding to RFI/RFPs.
• Contribute to practice initiatives, knowledge sharing, and team enablement.
• Meet or exceed utilization targets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
