Job summary

Grant Thornton, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Director in Workforce Transformation Change Management. You’ll lead engagement delivery teams, shape strategy, manage budgets, and drive AI-enabled change initiatives across client organizations.

You’ll work in a hybrid model with in-person attendance at least three days weekly, and collaborate across service lines to expand offerings and win new business. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12+ years of related work experience.
• Certifications in change management or project management preferred (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, La Marsh, PMP, SHRM-SCP, Lean, Six Sigma, CPP).
• Ability to prioritize, delegate and foster high-performance teams.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in culture transformation, communications planning/execution, stakeholder engagement, training planning/execution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Travel: typically 40-50% but up to 80%.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set vision, strategy, direction and lead multiple engagement delivery teams.
• Escalation point while overseeing project management activities incl. planning, budgeting, resources, risk mitigation, QA, and invoicing.
• Meet or exceed strategic goals, including utilization and sales targets.
• Develop relationships across service lines to expand services within existing projects and pursue new opportunities.
• Lead scoping efforts and pricing strategy discussions.
• Lead development of proposals and responses and deliver workforce transformation approaches at client presentations.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate change management delivery and outcomes.
• Lead AI transformation engagements focusing on readiness and adoption, guiding cultural shifts.
• Develop and evolve AI-enabled change management methodologies and internal playbooks.
• Coach and mentor proposal teams in preparing responses and collateral.
• Prepare/review drafts of new client contracts and statements of work.
• Lead internal initiatives on engagement, talent development, onboarding, or practice development.
• Participate in recruiting activities and external/internal networking events.
• Provide mentorship and leadership across a practice office and BRGs.
• Lead development of new Transformation Advisory solutions, tools and methodologies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and present thought leadership at industry events and publications.
