Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Account Manager to proactively maintain and expand relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers in an assigned territory. The role focuses on retaining customers, expanding penetration, and selling the full suite of Republic Services products.

Responsibilities include leveraging pricing initiatives, maintaining service knowledge, and using Salesforce daily to track activity, proposals, and outcomes. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preference for waste/transportation industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and retain existing customers by building long‑term relationships.
• Increase customer penetration by selling Republic Services products.
• Develop knowledge of services, pricing, and offers for assigned customers.
• Respond to cancellations per policy and support pricing initiatives.
• Utilize Salesforce to document calls, meetings, and proposals.
• Collaborate with operations to address service issues and escalations.
• Participate in company activities to raise visibility with customers.
