Job summary

American Family Insurance in Madison, WI, is seeking a Vendor Management professional to coordinate product management needs with the sourcing team, track vendor budgets and establish performance analytics to identify opportunities. This hybrid role requires 10 days per month in the office and relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

The role involves developing vendor strategies, participating in RFPs, and monitoring vendor performance to ensure SLAs are met.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
• Solid knowledge of processing systems and processes.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and regulatory environment.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Partners with internal business partners on planning, coordination and prioritization of vendor needs.
• Works with sourcing leadership to establish vendor strategy and collaborate on solutions.
• Develops vendor selection requests for proposals.
• Monitors vendor performance and reports on issues to ensure SLAs are met.
• Establishes vendor solution metrics and develops leadership reports on ROI.
• Analyzes budgeted vs. actual vendor spend and recommends changes.
• Identifies opportunities to optimize vendor solutions.
