Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a dedicated vendor management professional to partner with the sourcing team, coordinate product management needs, and track vendor budgets and performance analytics. You will help identify opportunities to optimize vendor solutions and ensure ROI.

This hybrid role requires proximity to Madison, WI or Boston, MA, with a minimum of 10 office days per month. Travel up to 10% and relocation support for eligible candidates are provided as part of our

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of processing systems and processes.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and regulatory environment.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Partners with internal business partners on planning, coordination and prioritization of vendor needs.
• Serves as a resource and works with leadership to help establish the vendor strategy and needs and collaborate with sourcing to implement solutions.
• Participate in the development of the vendor selection requests for proposals.
• Partner with leadership and operations solicit feedback on vendor performance; monitors and reports on vendor performance issues to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Establish appropriate vendor solution metrics and develops reports and communications for leadership to help understand ROI.
• Provides analysis on vendor solution metrics and makes recommendations for changes and improvements and understanding budgeted vs. actual.
• Analyze and identify opportunities to optimize vendor solutions.
