Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to partner with Product Management, delivering state-level analytics, root-cause insights, and executive reporting to guide growth. You will support AI-enabled analytics and automation efforts while reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product.

This flex office/home role requires reporting to one of several office locations and at least 10 days per month in the office, with potential relocation considerations and internal mobility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including variance investigation.
• Ability to work independently on complex assignments with minimal guidance and proactively surface risks.
• Advanced experience with SQL or BigQuery, Excel, dashboard or visualization tools, PowerPoint, competitive-intelligence tools, or AI-assisted analytical workflows.
• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance product design and underwriting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct complex analyses and provide insights and recommendations to leadership that affect profit and growth plan execution.
• Develop reports and analyses, evaluate alternative scenarios, and recommend strategies related to product development or enhancement.
• Independently identify root causes and present actionable opportunities to improve product or business practices.
• Monitor the effectiveness of current products and recommend changes and/or enhancements to management.

• Lead defined analytical projects or smaller workstreams and identify opportunities to automate recurring analysis and reporting processes.
