Job summary

Boston College is seeking a hands-on Manager, Network Operations & UC Engineering Services to lead enterprise communications and edge networking during a major modernization. The role partners with the Director of Network Services to guide unified communications across six campuses and 400+ network rooms.

You will mentor Voice Services and Network Operations teams, advance SIP/VoIP and CUCM expertise, and establish procedures for incident response, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in network and unified communications engineering.
• Formal management, team lead, or senior supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic partnership with the Director of Network Services to shape vision, roadmaps, and standards for unified communications and network infra.
• Oversee the integration of Voice Services and Network Operations into a unified engineering unit and foster collaboration across teams.
• Mentor engineers, develop growth plans, and uplift skills in VoIP/SIP and edge networking.
• Establish SOPs, incident management, and metrics to ensure high availability across campus locations.
