Job summary

Saint Joseph’s University seeks a Director of Networking and Telecommunications to lead the Architecture, security, and modernization of enterprise networks across three campuses. The role directs a team to deliver robust data, voice, and video services with a focus on reliability, security, and DR/BCP planning.

You will drive SD-WAN, UCaaS evolution, and cross-campus connectivity, while guiding budget, procurement, and vendor partnerships in a hybrid work setting at Hawk Hill.

Qualifications

• Ten years in networking/communications infrastructure management.
• Five+ years of supervisory leadership experience.
• 5+ years of L2/L3 routing & switching in complex enterprise env.
• BGP experience is a plus and enterprise-scale deployments.
• Familiar with 802.11 standards and data wiring (CAT5E/6/6E, Fiber).
• Experience with security technologies including firewalls and IPS.
• Budgeting and financial modeling for network projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, direction, and performance management for Infrastructure Communications teams.
• Develop DR and BCP for network and telecom services across campuses.
• Lead upgrades of network/telecom systems and SD-WAN/DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
• Oversee security alignment with NIST/CIS controls and ZTNA/SASE roadmap.
• Manage vendor relations, RFPs, contracts, and procurement.
• Coordinate on-site and remote operations across three campuses.
