Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Honolulu seeks a Transportation Senior Project Manager to lead large, multidisciplinary transportation programs from planning through completion.

You will oversee multiple high‑impact projects, manage budgets and schedules, and strengthen client relationships while participating in business development and strategic planning. You will guide collaborative design sessions with teams, partners, and community stakeholders, manage staffing and workloads, and monitor finances with QA/QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 10 years related experience required.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng).
• MS Office and MS Project experience; Access experience optional.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture required.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex, multidisciplinary transportation projects from planning through completion.
• Oversee multiple high-impact projects while managing quality, budgets, and schedules.
• Strengthen client relationships and contribute to business development and proposals.
• Guide collaborative design sessions with team, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Manage staffing and project workloads with attention to deliverables and deadlines.
• Monitor project finances, lead QA/QC, and conduct key project reviews with leadership.
• Mentor emerging project managers and promote a culture of excellence.
