Job summary

CityBus is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize our transportation operations in Greater Lafayette. You will oversee fixed-route and demand-response services, drive staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and performance decisions, and partner with the CEO and Board to advance our mission.

As a senior leader, you will develop managers, set clear expectations, and rely on data and frontline insight to improve safety, efficiency, and customer focus across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; seven years in transit/transport ops with leadership responsibility; safety-sensitive requirements including background checks and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead fixed-route and demand-response operations.
• Develop and support a strong operations leadership team; oversee staffing, scheduling and budget.
• Collaborate across the organization to strengthen service delivery; partner with CEO and Board.
