Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Strategic Transformation Leader to join our growing Strategy & Transformation Practice in the United States. This role focuses on defining future state operating models, roadmaps, and transformational projects that combine business process and technology implementations.

Successful candidates will bring deep finance and accounting expertise, extensive leadership experience, and a track record of managing complex client relationships across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 12+ years of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, or Higher Education.
• Experience managing senior-level client relationships across multiple stakeholders.
• Extensive finance and accounting expertise with track record of optimization.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and deliver with urgency and quality.
• Experience with full lifecycle project delivery and enterprise technology implementations.
• Project/program management certification (PMP, PgMP) or Agile certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work outside core hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy definition, future state visioning, target operating model, and roadmaps for transformation projects.
• Utilize finance, accounting, and industry knowledge to align client organizations with strategic goals.
• Develop and standardize finance processes, ensure governance, and document policies.
• Define roles, reporting structures, and operating models with clear metrics.
• Oversee multiple projects, manage staffing, deadlines and end-user expectations.
• Ensure documentation including business cases and requirements is complete.
• Manage third-party vendors and coordinate with stakeholders and executives.
