Job summary

Mainstreet Credit Union is seeking a Training & Development Manager to lead its Training and Development Department. You will assess learning needs, work with the CHRO to shape strategic initiatives, and implement solutions that boost employee growth, performance, and business results.

The role supports onboarding, regulatory compliance, leadership development, and service excellence, designs courses, delivers sessions, and optimizes the LMS, partnering with executives to close performance gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a trainer/facilitator/teacher.
• Minimum three years’ experience leading a training department.
• Experience with learning content development tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Canva, Visio).
• Minimum three years’ experience administering a learning management system.
• Proficient in learning theories and instructional design models.
• History of developing and executing training and leadership programs.
• Certification targets: CCUFC and Master Trainer within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements engaging training curriculum tailored to operations and culture.
• Identifies and assesses future and current training needs via job analysis and appraisals.
• Evaluates and develops training materials including job aids and tests.
• Documents processes and updates training curriculum accordingly with management.
• Manages the LMS to ensure system and content effectiveness.
• Supports MainFocus Sales and Service Strategy training initiatives.
• Delivers in-person and virtual training to new and existing employees.
• Conducts follow-up studies to evaluate training results.
• Modifies training programs as needed.
• Conducts annual training and development needs assessments.
• Collaborates with management and staff as a team member.
• Pursues continuing education via webinars and external trainings.
• Partners with SVP CHRO to establish department goals and initiatives.
