Job summary

Mainstreet Credit Union seeks a Training & Development Manager to lead the department, partnering with the CHRO to craft strategic learning initiatives that enhance employee growth, performance, and service across the credit union.

The role designs, delivers, and evaluates programs using instructional design principles, oversees the LMS, and coaches teams to close performance gaps while aligning with regulatory requirements and organizational aims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a trainer/facilitator/teacher.
• Minimum three years’ experience leading a training department.
• Three years’ experience with learning content development tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Canva, Visio).
• Minimum three years’ experience administering a learning management system.
• Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
• History of developing and executing training and leadership programs.
• On-the-job certification progress toward CCUFC and Master Trainer within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging training curriculum aligned with operations and culture.
• Identify and assess training needs through career paths and performance appraisals.
• Evaluate and develop training materials including job aids and tests.
• Collaborate with management to document processes and update curricula.
• Manage the LMS for content effectiveness.
• Deliver in-person and virtual training for new and existing employees.
• Measure results and adjust programs accordingly.
• Support onboarding, regulatory compliance, leadership development, and service excellence.
