Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Director, Learning & Development to partner with the SVP, People and Culture in shaping and executing a comprehensive L&D strategy. You will oversee the operational training program, develop content, and lead the L&D team to onboard, develop, and retain talent while advancing the strategic learning agenda.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Communications, Education, HR, or related field.
• 7–10+ years in staff training and development, including curriculum design.
• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience; financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute learning and development strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee design, delivery, and evaluation of all training programs.
• Create scalable training content including manuals, guides, videos, and modules.
• Lead the L&D team and manage onboarding, development, and career progression workflows.
• Assess training needs, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with executives to ensure regulatory compliance and culture reinforcement.
• Report progress and outcomes to the SVP, People and Culture and leadership.
• Ensure consistency and compliance across on-site and off-site training.
