Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Total Rewards Analyst to administer and enhance our compensation, benefits, and retirement programs. You will partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to keep programs competitive, compliant, data-driven, and aligned with our mission of attracting and retaining talent.

The role emphasizes market pricing, annual cycles, pay equity, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to build executive dashboards and influence decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
  • Healthcare or hospital experience preferred.
  • Experience building financial models and presenting analytical findings.
  • Strong understanding of compensation strategy, benefits, retirement administration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and related employment regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compensation market pricing and salary benchmarking using industry surveys.
  • Support annual merit, bonus, and promotion cycles through financial modeling, system configuration, auditing, and reporting.
  • Evaluate job descriptions and recommend salary grades, job classifications, and FLSA designations.
  • Perform pay equity analyses to identify trends, compression, and compensation disparities.
  • Analyze healthcare benefit utilization, claims data, renewal projections, and cost-sharing trends.
  • Support annual open enrollment, including system testing, data validation, and enrollment reporting.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit billing between HRIS, payroll, and insurance carriers while monitoring vendor performance.
  • Administer retirement plan operations, including contribution audits, employer match calculations, and annual compliance testing.
  • Support regulatory filings, including ACA reporting, Form 5500 preparation, and other compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor federal and state legislation impacting compensation and employee benefits.
  • Develop executive dashboards and reports that provide insights into compensation, benefits, retention, turnover, and workforce trends.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and HRIS teams to ensure data accuracy and effective program administration.
  • Maintain confidential employee information while supporting organizational compliance and governance initiatives.
